004/365: I burned my hand.

Back when I was six years old, I had an interesting experience. It was time for dinner, and I was pretending to be a mummy. Mom said, "Come to the table," and I did, still as a mummy, hands in front of my body, walking all spastic-like. I put my hands down on what I thought would be the table, but instead was a scalding hot bowl of soup.

Not the best memory in the world.

Truth is, since then, I've been deathly afraid of burning my hands since then.

So today, when I was trying to lift my mother's mug of tea, which I had filled to the brim, only to find the water spilling over in what seemed like humongous qualities, I couldn't think of what to do. Let it drop? Put it down carefully? Scream? I tried to set it down as carefully as possible and booked it to the sink to pour cold water on my hand. Something to ease the pain.

Why am I blogging about this? ...to be honest, I have no idea. Other from the fact that I've been working on my video all day, that was...one of the most interesting (yet very unpleasant) parts of my day.

Perhaps it's to point out...that not every single day goes as we want it to, but that's alright. Tomorrow's another day. A better one.

Bible verse for today: LORD, You are my portion and my cup of blessing; You hold my future.
-Psalm 16:5
